Wengers Fury an Mancini

Posted by: oursport
Arsene Wenger has accused Manchester City manager, Mancini of disrespect. This comes after the Italian decided to reveal his interest in Samir Nasri in public on Saturday the 16th of July. Samir Nasri is also being sought after by reigning champions, Manchester United. Mancini decided to go public, defying English football transfer guidelines and declare his interests to sign the 23- year old. He declared that he had intentions to sign the France international before the end of that month.
Considering the kind of pressure Arsene Wenger is yielding, this was not just sheer business. He was discussing terms so that Barcelona's target Cesc Fabregas would stay at the Emirates. He said that the comments are not allowed and that Mancini acted against the rules of football, Sky news reported. Wenger said that it is against the governing laws to make public comments concerning players on contract to other affiliated clubs.
Nasri, who was entering his final year of his contract at the Emirates Stadium, had also been constantly sought after by Sir Alex Ferguson. Mancini on the other hand was willing to part with thirty million sterling pounds. Wenger said that he is not in any manner pleased by the kinds of speculation that had been moving around about Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri. He said that this might injure his football coaching career and the face of the football club as well.
On the other side Sky news had reported that the former Marseille midfielder had decided to play dumb and would not unravel his true intentions on leaving or staying at the Emirates. Even though Wenger had done good business with the oil-rich owners of Manchester City in the recent past, from sales of Kolo Toure, Adebayor and most recently Gael Clichy, he was not going to let this instrumental mid-fielder slip from his arms without a fight.
Aside from all this speculation, Samir Nasri had joined teammates on a team building tour of Asia. He also appeared for Arsenal side in the Saturday 16th's friendly football match against Hangzhou which resulted in a 1-1 draw final score line.
However, on 24th August 2011 Nasri completed a move from Arsenal to Premiership rivals Machester City in a deal believed to be worth in the region of £25 million.
